History

I always loved playing video games. I remember the first time when I saw a game being played on a computer. There was this person as a tenant in our house. I was probably 9 years old (3rd standard).

My first video games

I remember he used to click on a yellow icon and there would be two different icons on the screen. I later discovered that yellow icon was called a folder.

On his computer I played:

  • Wolfenstein 3D - It blew my mind.
  • Prince of Persia 2D

First console

The first console my family got me was when I got first rank in my class, I was in 4th standard. It was a hand held console, blue in color.

Games:

  • Some sort of racing game
  • A Pong game
  • Game where you have to break the bricks

Second console

The second console I got was a rip off of Playstation 1 that had those cassettes "9999 in 1". It was plugged into a TV.

First Computer

In the year 2000 my dad bought a computer. It was a Pentium 4 Compaq. It was around 60,000 INR. It came with these two games:

  • Midtown Madness
  • Road Rash

Second Computer

Dad had to upgrade his computer for work. This time it was epic. It was Dual Core HP. This was in 2003. We could buy new game CDs now. Back then CDs would be 700MB and would cost around 60 INR per game.

  • NFS Most Wanted (Probably the best NFS)

First Laptop

In 2009, my college 2nd year, my dad got me my own laptop. It was Dell XPS laptop. It was around 70,000 INR. Came with 256MB Nvidia Graphics card.

  • DOTA 1

Second Laptop

Got this in 2017. It was Asus ROG. It was around 1,00,000 INR. It came with 4GB Nvidia Graphics card.

  • Witcher 3 (The best game I have ever played)
  • Sekiro (First Souls game. So hard)
  • A Plague Tale

The laptop's motherboard got fried while playing Red Dead Redemption 2.

PS5

I got this in 2021. It was around 50,000 INR. Once I started on PS5, I also started a YouTube channel called purplewow.
